Thanks for the wonderful two weeks.We won’t lie: enjoying a stunning photo-shoot is one of the best parts of a Costa Rica destination wedding. And what a nice pool, plus the howler monkeys in the jungle accross, and the view over the back terrace/balcony over the fields of BuenaVista with horses and kettle and wild pigs serenly living their natural life. The staff have been incredibly friendly and sweet, this place carries the flavour of a corporate family founded on trust and respect. Breakfast (3 delicious options) is included, with freshly squeezed juice and fruit salad. The owner Clémence was so kind, she even provided an extra small fridge for us. We came for two weeks with our four children to explore the region. Pacific Lodge is a little gem of Sámara, located in the beautiful Buena Vista neighbourhood. All bathrooms have showers and hot water to the guest’s disposition. The comfortable rooms are air conditioned and feature WiFi access in public areas, Some units have terraces, or overlook the pool area. American, Continental or local breakfast is included. The Samara Pacific Lodge is situated 800 metres from the Samara Bay shores and offers a fresh-water pool, a bar and a restaurant. Good coffee machine/ hot water heater which we used to make tea. Large flat screen TV in room which we didn’t use but seemed to have lots of US channels. Only 5 mins drive from Carillo beach and 10 mins drive to Samara town, or a 30mins walk along the beach to Samara but only at low-ish tide, not possible at high tide due to rivers to be crossed. Lovely large spacious rooms with a comfy indoor seating area and an outside terrace with chairs. We just had to return everything at the end of each day. Loved the fact that the hotel had beach towels, camping chairs, beach mats, parasols and even a mini cool box that we could take out with us in the car when we went out to the beaches - all free to use. It was really hard to decide each day what to have for breakfast! Generous servings of everything also. Fantastic breakfasts - the best breakfasts thus far in our trip - the Tipico Tico breakfast of rice and beans was really delicious with lots of coriander in it which I love and we got to try the local Lizano sauces with it too which we had heard about. Told us to listen out for howler monkeys in the afternoons that come through the hotels trees to feed. An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including cycling.Ĭharming boutique hotel. Other facilities offered at the property include a tour desk.
